Help for beginners
Here you will find all the information you need for an easier start into your computer science studies. If you are not yet enrolled, but are interested in studying computer science, we recommend the section "Before studying". Otherwise, the links page or the FAQ page may contain useful information / pages for you.
How do I become a student at the TU?
To study at TU Darmstadt, you must first apply. We have collected information about this here.
Study start
If you are successfully enrolled, you can start your studies in October. Lectures usually start in the third week of October, before that there are pre-courses and the Ophase. On the respective pages you will find all the information you need, such as timetables, locations and the like. If you don't live in Darmstadt, it might be relevant for you that the semester ticket is only valid from the start of the semester. For an overview of everything you need to do at the beginning, there is the website einfachsTUdieren of the TU as well as our checklist in the next section. The HRZ also provides an overview list of what to do from a technical perspective.
